Most streaming burnout is not about too little content — it is about too many open tabs. A small weekly watchlist fixes that.

The five-slot rule

Every Sunday, write only five titles:

  • 2 continues (shows you already started)
  • 2 starts (one drama / one movie)
  • 1 wildcard (trending pick from social or ShoortTV)

If a title does not fit a slot, it waits. That constraint is the point.

Protect your attention

Turn off “because you watched” rows for one week. Autoplay next episode is fine; infinite recommendation surfaces are not. Finish the five before browsing again.

Use recaps strategically

If you fell behind on a series, read a spoiler-light season overview first, then jump to the latest arc. Full episode-by-episode recaps help when you care about details; skip them if you only want vibes.

Track what you drop

Keep a tiny “dropped” note: title + why (slow middle, weak lead, too many filler episodes). Patterns appear fast — and your next watchlist gets sharper.
